Responsibility details are not available.
A push broach scriber of tungsten steel with a flat edge 1.2 mm wide. The resistance of the material grows with the width, so this tool is worked differently from the fine scribers of the range, and that is usually the reason for poor results.
The wider the edge, the larger the area biting into the plastic at once and the more force the modeler would like to apply. That, though, is exactly the opposite of the method that leads to a good groove. A wide scriber is worked in shorter strokes, with less pressure and with more frequent checks on whether the tool is running off to the side. Different materials also behave differently: softer plastic can be removed smoothly, harder molded plastic tends to leave a sharper burr behind, and resin crumbles rather than cutting. Every time you pick up a new kit, it is worth making a test stroke on an offcut of the frame.
For modelers who alter the shape of parts, deepen shallow cut-outs or need a regular groove of greater width without using a milling tool.
The sharp edge runs along the whole width. Secure the part while working, guide the stroke away from your body and remove the material taken off with a brush, so that the dust does not get into the air.
