The deep gray-green tone Lifecolor Grigio Verde Scuro Regio Esercito Matt is the matte dark variant of the Italian army gray-green, and on a model it pays off most where corrosion needs shadow: in the joints, around rivets and under chipped edges.
Responsibility details are not available.
Corrosion is not only a color, it is above all a depth. Chipped paint has a shadow, a corrosion pit has a dark bottom and a joint between plates is always darker than the surface around it. The matte dark gray-green shade named Grigio Verde Scuro in Italian military nomenclature is, for this work with shadow, precisely the color that stays within the family of the base finish and therefore never looks out of place.
Shade with black or brown and you get a dirty model. But make the shadow with a darker version of the same finish and the eye reads depth, not dirt, and only on that can rust and dust be laid. The practical sequence: first shade all the hollows and edges with the dark variant, once dry brighten the middle of the panels with a lighter tone, and only at the end add the corrosion. The rust then falls automatically where it belongs, because the ground already has the right modeling.
It will be appreciated by modelers of Italian vehicles and by everyone used to building a surface in layers who wants the shadow in place before any weathering.
Keep out of the reach of children and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
