The sun burnt the olive coat into a lighter position, and that is exactly what Olive Drab Faded FS14084 holds, a water-based acrylic paint from the Lifecolor range.

There is more than one faded olive tone in this line. The manufacturer offers several of them with different chart numbers, because olive does not fade the same way on every vehicle: a coat behaves one way in the desert, another in a temperate zone and another again on canvas as against plate. Olive Drab Faded FS14084 is a water-based acrylic paint and represents one of these positions.
How to work with several faded shades
The simplest approach is to take a rich olive base as the starting point and to set the faded tones on ever smaller areas. First a broader spray on the upper parts, then a narrower one into the middle of large panels, and finally small accents on the edges and tread places. Do not try to make the transition in one jump; a sharp line between a rich and a faded tone gives away that this is paint and not wear. This approach is typically American. British vehicles got their articulation from a second camouflage color, whereas American ones got it solely from the time spent under the sun.
For modelers who build the olive scale from ready shades instead of mixing, and for those who want fine and repeatable differences between the individual layers.
Stir the contents before use. Keep out of the reach of children.
