An officer's field uniform used to be made of better cloth and had a shade of its own, which Lifecolor Polish Officers Field Uniform is aimed at. A water-based acrylic paint for Polish figures.

Officers' uniforms differed from those of the ranks in more than their cut. They were sewn from finer cloth, often to measure and outside the main contracts, so the resulting color tended to be some way off that of mass-issued blouses. The shade Polish Officers Field Uniform from Lifecolor covers this difference as a separate water-based acrylic paint.
It comes out best when it stands beside the uniform khaki of the ranks. It is exactly the deviation that directs the viewer on a figure: a slightly different color of blouse makes a commander out of a figure sooner than any insignia, which nobody can make out in a small scale anyway. On a diorama it therefore pays to keep the commander a step apart in color too, not merely in composition. Finer cloth also holds sharper folds, so the transitions between light and shadow can be more contrasting than on the worn field blouse of a private soldier. At the same time an officer's uniform tends to be cleaner, so it pays to be sparing with dust and mud on it.
For figure painters focused on the Polish army of the late 1930s and for builders of scenes where the hierarchy of the figures is meant to be legible at a glance.
