The deepest position of the Israeli army green carries the designation Lifecolor Dark IDF Green. A water-based acrylic paint for uniforms, kit and shadows on figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Israeli army has held to its green for a long time, but in photographs it looks different every time. The interplay of dust, sun and the age of the kit is to blame. The shade Dark IDF Green from the Italian maker Lifecolor stands at the dark end of this scale and is a water-based acrylic paint intended for figures and their equipment.
In practice a dark green is rarely used on its own over a whole area. Its strength lies in forming the bottom layer. Lay it into the folds, under the straps, into the places beneath the helmet and into every joint the light does not reach, and only then put the lighter tones on it. It serves just as well on the parts of kit that are meant to stay optically at the back: packs, pouches, canvas bags. Anyone painting a unit in the desert will also appreciate a dark base because dust effects come out more strongly on it than on a light ground color.
Figure modelers focused on the Israeli army and builders of vehicles where the crew and the stowed kit are meant to read as part of the vehicle and not as a patch of color.
Stir the contents of the package before use. Store it well closed at room temperature and out of the reach of children.
