A universal carrier liquid for weathering products, in the Standard version. It serves to thin them and to spread pigments and washes across the surface of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A carrier liquid is an auxiliary product that colors nothing by itself. It is used to thin weathering products and above all to work with pigment: on a dampened surface the powder can be spread into a smooth deposit, settled into corners and gaps and left in place once dry. Without a carrier liquid the pigment merely lies on the surface and smears at the first touch.
The Standard designation distinguishes this variant within the range. The liquid is universal, that is intended for ordinary work with pigments and washes, not for one particular effect. Which products can be thinned with it, in what ratio and how long it takes to dry are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and in the instructions for the range; follow those first.
Always try the procedure out on an offcut or a hidden area first, because the behavior on a matte and on a gloss finish differs. Work in thin layers and let them dry before you add another; a single heavy coat gathers into blotches. Apply with a soft brush and take the excess off with a dry brush or a cloth while the area is still damp, because once dry the deposit is harder to adjust. Work in a well-ventilated area and close the bottle carefully after work, so that the contents do not thicken.
The package contains the liquid itself. Pigments, paints, brushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
