This sheet from Green Stuff World is not an opaque paint and not a self-adhesive film. It is a water-soaked decal with a regular hexagonal camouflage pattern in forest greens and browns. Geometric camouflage of this kind can hardly be done with a brush or an airbrush, because it calls for exact repetition of the shapes - a decal is the only sensible route here. The size of the sheet and the number of designs are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.

Trimming the film and matching the pattern

With geometric patterns the trimming decides everything. Cut the piece out so that the edge of the cut runs along a line of hexagons, not across them - the cut will then be lost in the regular drawing. If you cannot cover an area with a single piece, offer the next piece up with the smallest possible overlap and line the hexagons up while the film is still damp and can be moved. A sharp scalpel and a fresh blade matter more on thin film than on ordinary decals, because a frayed edge shows up at once on a regular drawing.
