Tamiya X-28 Park Green – Acrylic Paint, 23 ml

Tamiya X-28 Park Green is an acrylic modeling paint supplied in a jar with a volume of 23 ml. It is not a kit or a model accessory — it is a modeling paint (chemical) intended for painting and finishing models. The X designation for Tamiya paints means a gloss shade (matte shades carry the XF designation). Park Green is a pure park-style green — medium in intensity, not too dark.

The paint is water-thinnable and is thinned for spraying with acrylic thinner X-20A. Watch out for mix-ups: an enamel version of the same shade also exists under the number X-28, thinned with thinner X-20 (without the letter A). This item is acrylic — do not thin it with enamel thinner.

Use

• Applied with a brush or an airbrush; for spraying, thin with acrylic thinner X-20A.
• Work in thin coats and let each dry — it will then cover evenly with no visible brush marks.
• It adheres best on a smooth, degreased surface, ideally with a primer coat.
• The gloss finish is an excellent base for decals as well as for later washes, filters and weathering.
• Wet paint and brushes can be cleaned with water; a dried coat needs the matching thinner.

Where park green fits

The shade suits civilian and municipal equipment in particular — tractors, garden and park machinery, trailers and utility vehicles. It also works well on small diorama accessories (benches, fences, railings, barrels, tools) and anywhere a clean green with no military tint is needed.
