This is a modeling paint, not a kit. XF-75 is a Tamiya acrylic (water-thinnable) paint in a 10 ml bottle. At Tamiya the letters XF denote the matte range, while the X range is gloss, so this shade dries to a matte finish.
IJN stands for the Imperial Japanese Navy. XF-75 is the naval gray of Japanese warships of the Second World War, that is a shade for the hulls and superstructures of ships according to the Kure arsenal (which produced, among other things, the largest Japanese battleships). It is not an aircraft color. Do not confuse it with the XF-12 J.N. Grey shade, which is used on the undersurfaces of Japanese naval aircraft; that is a different color for a different purpose. The Japanese arsenals also mixed their grays slightly differently, which is why Tamiya offers the naval gray as a separate shade.
Above all for builders of models of Japanese warships and their accessories (photo-etched parts, railings, armament), where a period naval gray is needed. It also finds use wherever a modeler is looking for a neutral darker gray for bases, figures or small accessories.
Safety: keep out of reach of children. When spraying with an airbrush, work in a ventilated space and use protection for your airways. Close the bottle carefully after use so that the paint does not dry out.
