XS16 - Hellenic Air Force Set 2

The Lifecolor paint set Hellenic Air Force Set 2

The second volume of the themed paint series from Lifecolor devoted to the aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force. The ordinal number in the name states the position within the subject, not the contents of the package. The set widens the palette for the same circle of subjects and can be acquired on its own as well as alongside the first volume.

Why the palette for one subject is divided into several sets

Air forces change their camouflage schemes over time, and different generations of machines differ from one another in color more than would seem at first sight. Manufacturers therefore usually divide a subject not by types of aircraft but by periods and schemes, and release the palette in volumes. A modeler thus does not buy dozens of shades at once but gradually puts together what the models on the bench really need. The shades within one package are matched, so they can also be used for fine shading and highlighting of areas, not only for full coverage.

Use and tips

• Stir the contents of the bottle properly before every use.
• Build the coverage gradually, because a thin layer preserves the engraving and the fine detail of the surface.
• Follow the details given by the manufacturer on the packaging for thinning and for cleaning the tools.
• Mixing the shades within one set is the fastest way to smooth transitions.
• Wipe the residue of paint out of the cap, the bottle then seals better and the paint lasts longer.

Who the set is for

The second volume will be appreciated by those who have been with the subject for a longer time and are widening the palette, as well as by modelers who are building a particular subject and need exactly the shades from this selection. It is usable outside the original subject too, anywhere the shades suit.

Store the paints well closed and out of the reach of children and work in a well-ventilated room.
