The brand offers a whole family of variants of this vehicle and the individual items differ in the type of turret given right in the name; choose by the particular designation, therefore, because otherwise the individual packages are similar in content. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The number of parts, the material of the parts and the contents of the package are stated on the box.
The Panhard 178 was a four-wheeled armored car of the French army introduced in the second half of the 1930s as a reconnaissance vehicle for cavalry units. It had a crew of four, all-wheel drive and a rotating turret with a cannon completed by a machine gun. After 1940, forms with newly made, simpler turrets arose in the remaining unoccupied part of France, because the original turrets were not available; the CDM designation belongs to that group of modifications. Two different forms of this group exist and they differ precisely in the shape of the turret.
Cut the small parts off with a sharp knife over a flat tray and handle them with tweezers. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts: thin cement for plastic on plastic, cyanoacrylate on resin. Finish and paint the chassis and the wheels before you close the hull, as later you will reach them with difficulty. Apply the paint in thin layers, so that the engraving is not flooded; in a very small scale it pays to lighten the base shade a little, because the model otherwise looks too dark. Bring the shapes out with a dark wash into the seams and a dry brush along the edges, and complete the impression with dust and mud effects around the wheels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
