1:100 Schneider AMC P16 is a kit of the French half-track fighting vehicle in 1:100 scale from the brand Zebranomodel. It is a model to be glued and painted, not a finished product.

A collection of interwar French hardware cannot do without half-track vehicles, and the AMC P16 belongs exactly there. In 1:100 scale it is a small model that builds quickly and takes up almost nothing in a cabinet — ideal when you want a whole cavalry squadron together rather than one eye-catching piece. What the package contains, the number of parts and the material of the castings are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The P16 was a French half-track fighting vehicle of the turn of the 1920s and 1930s, assigned to the cavalry units as a reconnaissance and escort vehicle. It combined front wheels with a tracked run at the rear, which was meant to improve mobility in soft ground compared with an ordinary armored car. Above the hull it carried a rotating turret with a light gun and a machine gun. The design grew out of the half-track layout that France was developing at the time for civilian expeditions as well. The details of the production batches and of the upgrades are given differently in the specialist literature.
A half-track vehicle has several treacherous spots in this scale: small front wheels, fine fenders and a tracked run that has to sit straight. So glue the running gear assembly on a flat surface and check as you go that the vehicle does not stand crooked. Cut the parts off with a sharp scalpel and sand the sprue marks with fine abrasive paper rather than a file — on a part this small it is easy to take off more than you want. Choose a matte and thinned paint; gloss simplifies a small model optically. After the base coat a very thin dark wash helps, drawing out the panel gaps, together with a light accent on the edges with a dry brush. Dust on the wheels and tracks gives an impression of movement.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
