T-S 26 Nad rybnikem 1:1000 is a small model of a Czechoslovak heavy fortification blockhouse produced by the association ROP o.s. It belongs to a complete range from which a whole construction sector can gradually be put together.

A model of the blockhouse T-S 26 with the code name Nad rybnikem, meaning above the pond, in 1:1000 scale from the Czech association ROP o.s. The range in this scale is conceived as a collector's one: the individual objects are small and can be obtained step by step until a clear arrangement of a whole sector emerges. That is precisely the point of such an unusual scale — to offer context, not one striking piece.
The designation of the objects is simple and worth knowing: the letter before the S determines the construction sector, that is T for Trutnov, the S is the abbreviation for a blockhouse and the number gives the order of the object within the sector. The code name Nad rybnikem also names the object after a prominent point in the surroundings. The blockhouses of the Czechoslovak heavy fortifications were built from the mid-1930s under the Directorate of Fortification Works. They were reinforced concrete objects set into the terrain, with side embrasures pointing along the line and with armored elements in the upper part. Most of the objects were abandoned without a fight after the Munich Agreement and many of them have survived in the landscape to this day.
Work with tweezers, and for painting choose a brush with short fine bristles or an airbrush at low pressure. A base in a light warm gray, a dark wash in the recesses, a fine dry brush on the edges — the model will not carry more steps than that. If you are collecting the whole range, it pays to keep the same shade of concrete on all the pieces and to mix it up as a stock right away; the arrangement then holds together visually. Line the objects up on a common base with uniform grass and add small labels with the designations.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
