The Beriev Be-200 Altair is a modern amphibious aircraft able to take off and land from land and from water alike. Its best known role is aerial firefighting of forest fires - within a few seconds it can scoop a large quantity of water from a body of water in flight and drop it straight onto the fire. Besides firefighting it serves for search and rescue, carrying cargo and clearing up after disasters. It is operated above all by rescue and aviation services.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the parting seams of the boat hull carefully so that they blend in. Attach the cockpit glazing with canopy glue. Apply a gloss coat before the decals; striking rescue schemes with bold colors come into their own on a smoothly sprayed surface. Pick out the panel lines gently with a wash and keep the wear restrained - these machines tend to be well maintained.
