Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech maker Brengun holds castings of US aerial bombs in the weight class of roughly two hundred thirty kilograms in 1:144 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory that adds to or replaces the ordnance on a model. You cannot build a model of its own from the set.
The five-hundred-pound class was among the most widespread US aerial ordnance of the Second World War. The bombs were effective enough against area targets and at the same time light enough for single-engine machines to carry, so they turned up just as often under fighter-bombers as in the bays of medium and heavy bombers. The weight figure is a rounded category, not the exact weight of an individual round.
With small castings the key step is preparing the surface. Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, let them dry thoroughly and only then spray a primer, because paint will not hold on any mold release residue. Cut casting remnants away rather than snapping them off, and level the surface with a fine-grit file. If you are hanging the bombs under the wing, it pays to lay out the spacing and the symmetry on paper first, because asymmetrically hung ordnance spoils the look of the whole model. Choose the color scheme and the markings according to documentation for the particular machine you are using the set on.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
