Photo-etched seats for American aircraft in 1:144 scale are an accessory set for a kit you have already bought, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket set from the Czech maker Brengun for modelers who build American aircraft in 1:144 scale and want the cabin under the glazing not to be an empty hole. The set is supplied on its own and assumes that you already have the model.
Small scales have one weakness in common: the interior gets skimped in them. Either there is nothing in the cabin, or there is an outline that has only its volume in common with a seat. And yet one correctly shaped part is enough and the eye will fill the rest in for the viewer. Photo-etched sheet allows the backrest, the cushion and the side edges to be made at a realistic thickness and a gap added under the seat, which optically deepens the cabin.
It pays to reverse the procedure against the usual habit: bend the seats first, then paint them and only glue them into the model at the end. Once the part is in the cabin a brush will not reach it, and the paint will certainly run over onto the surrounding walls. The interiors of American aircraft of the Second World War tended to be in green shades following from the protective chromate primer, but the particular shade differed between individual types and makers, so go by the sources for your own model. After painting, a very thin dark wash that brings out the edges helps, and fine drybrushing on the upper surfaces. Glue it into the model with super glue applied with a pin, so that the seat does not stick before you manage to aim it.
The set is an aftermarket accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
