Responsibility details are not available.
A supplementary set of turned metal reproductions of rounds in 1:16 scale from the Polish maker Aber. The package holds 25 pieces, as the name states. It is neither a model of a weapon nor a kit but a small accessory that will raise the credibility of the interior of a combat vehicle, of an open crate or of a diorama scene with figures.
In 1:16 scale an individual round is well visible, and a plastic casting will never capture its shape as sharply as turned metal. The rounds come in useful scattered loose on the floor of a fighting compartment, lined up in an open crate, in the hand of a figure or as an accessory to a model of a machine gun. The metallic sheen is apparent even after the surroundings have been painted, so the scene gains a detail on which the eye settles at once.
Degrease the metal parts before any surface treatment, or neither paint nor patina will hold on them. Many modelers leave the metal in its natural shade and only darken it slightly so that the surface does not shine like new; the bullet can be set apart from the case with a darker tone. If you are going to glue the rounds, use super glue or epoxy, as ordinary cement for polystyrene will not join metal. Help yourself with tweezers as you work and work over a surface with a rim, as small parts are easily lost.
The set is an accessory, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unpainted; paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
