A set of 12 turned metal pins for holding spare track links on a model of the Panther tank in 1:16 scale. A precise add-on from the Polish manufacturer Aber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of twelve turned metal pins with which you attach spare track links to the hull and the turret on a model of the Panther tank in 1:16 scale. The precisely machined metal parts replace the simplified plastic components of kits — and precisely in a large scale, where every detail is on show, such an upgrade lifts the overall impression immediately. This is not a standalone model but an add-on made for a kit.
Panther crews commonly carried spare track links hung on the sides of the hull and on the turret. Besides being a stock of parts for field repairs, the links also served as improvised additional armor. On the vehicle they were held on simple steel pins — an unobtrusive but characteristic detail that is very clearly visible on a model in 1:16 scale.
Degrease the metal parts before gluing and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). If necessary, drill holes of the matching diameter in the hull — measure out the positions beforehand according to the documentation. Before painting we recommend a fine primer meant for metal so that the coat holds well; the final weathering will tie the pins in with the surrounding surface.
The accessory is made for a tank kit — the base model is not included in the package.
