Armory 1:144 - wheels for the UH-60 Black Hawk with weighted tires is a resin set of replacement landing gear wheels for models of a transport helicopter, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a helicopter model but a detail set. The resin wheels replace the landing gear wheels from the plastic UH-60 kit in 1:144 scale. The tires are cast with a sagged contact surface, so the model does not stand on perfectly round discs.
The UH-60 Black Hawk is a twin-engine transport helicopter of American design, used to carry people and cargo. It has fixed landing gear with two main wheels and a tail wheel at the back. The helicopter is often operated from unprepared ground, so the gear and the tires are among the dirtiest places on the whole machine.
In a small scale, wheels are easily overpainted. Choose a dark gray base shade rather than black, and finish the build with weathering: dry pigment applied with a brush onto a flat coat that is still slightly tacky holds well and can be built up in layers. Apply a pale dust shade from the contact surface upward and fade it out toward the rim, so that it looks as if it had been thrown up by driving. Before all that, the castings have to be washed in lukewarm water with dish soap and the casting blocks cut off with a saw; when sanding resin, work wet and do not breathe the dust. The wheel is attached to the plastic gear leg with cyanoacrylate glue. Before the glue hardens, level the model on a flat board and turn the wheels so that the flattened contact patch sits on its whole area.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
