Aber 1:16 KV-1 / KV-2 Vol.2 – Tool boxes (early) is a photo-etched set of early tool boxes for a large scale model of the Soviet KV heavy tank.

A photo-etched brass detail set from Aber in 1:16 scale for the Soviet KV-1 or KV-2 heavy tank. The set reproduces the early types of tool boxes set on the fenders and the hull of the vehicle. The parts have a faithful sheet thickness and fine hinges and latches. It is an accessory, not a tank kit.
The KV-1 and KV-2 were Soviet heavy tanks of the start of the Second World War. The tool boxes on the fenders served to stow tools and spare parts and their shape changed during production; this set matches the early form.
Separate the parts from the fret, bend them exactly on a photo-etch bending tool and glue them together with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer; an airbrush is recommended, followed by washes to bring the detail out.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The kit of the tank, glues and paints are not included in the package.
