A girl playing the guitar is a MAiM figure in 1:18 scale that brings music and ease into dioramas with cars and into urban vignettes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure of a girl with a guitar from the manufacturer MAiM is done in 1:18 scale, which matches the most widespread models and die-cast miniatures of automobiles. A musical subject gives a scene an immediate mood: calm, ease and a story the viewer easily works out. The figure is supplied as an unpainted casting to be cleaned up and painted.
A girl with a guitar suits a surprisingly wide range of subjects: street music, sitting by a car, camping, a garage band or a summer evening in the yard. Beside a model car in 1:18 scale it creates a living, unstaged picture, because it is what a figure is doing that sets a good scene apart from a mere row of figures. It also holds up on its own as a small collector's sculpture.
Wash the casting, clean it up and prime it. Layer the skin with acrylic tones and refine it with oil glazes, and treat the clothing as you see fit, since civilian clothes take both muted and vivid colors. The guitar is a rewarding detail on which you can show fine brushwork; carefully separated areas of color on the instrument will lift the figure. A matte clear coat at the end evens everything out.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
