The sheet follows on from the range of printed accessories with period pin-up posters. The motifs are printed on paper, are cut out and glued into a scene; it is not a kit and not a waterslide decal. The content is intended for adult collectors and in a diorama it serves as a period prop of an interior.
Paper print works best in relation to something else. A wall with a poster above a workbench, by a cabinet or behind a figure in a working pose gives a scene a story, whereas a motif on its own on an empty area stays mere filler. Try placing the accessory so that equipment covers part of the area or so that a figure naturally screens it — that gives a diorama depth and at the same time keeps the motif from becoming the dominant feature of the scene.
Cut the motif out with a new edge along a rule on a cutting mat and darken the edge after trimming, so that the white cut does not glare. It is glued with a thin layer of PVA glue for paper applied to the undercoat and to the reverse. Once dry, it is a good idea to tone the area gently according to the patina of the surroundings and to go over it with matte clear coat. In 1:24 scale larger formats suit, while in 1:35 small pieces glued in a cluster do.
The sheet is supplied as a printed accessory. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
