The kit captures the Italian battleship RN Roma in 1:350 scale. The model from the manufacturer Trumpeter has a well worked hull and superstructure, and photo-etched parts come with it. Given the dimensions of the real ship, this is a large model.
RN Roma was an Italian battleship of the Vittorio Veneto (Littorio) class, one of the last heavy surface ships of the Italian Regia Marina. She carried a main armament of 381 mm caliber in three gun turrets and an extensive secondary and anti-aircraft armament. The ship had a very short career and was sunk in 1943 by a hit from a German guided bomb.
Count on having enough room, given the length of the hull. Glue the plastic with a thin cement and sand the long hull seams carefully. Glue the photo-etched antennas, ladders and detail with cyanoacrylate glue. For the period camouflage an airbrush, a primer underneath and graded shades of the hull and the deck all work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
