An injection-molded plastic kit of the 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R two-door hardtop (the KPGC10 type) in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. The package holds the body, the chassis, engine parts, the interior, clear glazing and decals. The short-wheelbase two-door version is among the most sought-after Skylines with collectors.
The KPGC10-generation Skyline GT-R, nicknamed Hakosuka, was the high point of the line at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. It was powered by the S20 inline six-cylinder engine with a DOHC valvetrain and several carburetors, designed from racing engines. The car made its name with a string of wins in Japanese circuit racing and became an icon of the Japanese performance-car scene.
Spray the body over primer and polish a gloss coat under the decals. The engine bay rewards careful shading and drybrushing on the metal parts. We recommend masking the chrome parts and gluing the glazing with a cement for clear parts. Use liquid cement for plastic and clean the flash off the parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
