A curtainsider trailer has its side curtain tensioned by a set of buckles and straps along the bottom edge. These small metal items are conspicuous on the real vehicle, and rendering them faithfully markedly raises the realism of a model of a truck.
Cut the fine photo-etched buckles from the fret, shape them where needed and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Complete them with an imitation of the straps and paint them metallic; a wash will bring the individual items out.
