Aerobonus – AIM-9 L/M/N seeker head covers with Remove before flight flags (1:32). Resin protective covers for the seeker heads of the missiles, with period flags.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed accessory from the Aerobonus (Aires) brand with resin protective covers for the seeker heads of the AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles in the L, M and N versions in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of a missile or of an aircraft but a set of covers that in service are fitted over the sensitive optical seeker heads of missiles carried under an aircraft, together with red flags reading Remove before flight. The set will bring a diorama to life, as well as a parked model being prepared for flight.
The AIM-9 Sidewinder is an American infrared-guided short-range air-to-air missile, widespread with a number of air forces. During ground operations the optical seeker head is usually protected by a cover whose red flag is a reminder that it has to be removed before takeoff.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks. Paint the covers in a strong red, add the printed or painted lettering to the flags and fix them onto the missile seeker heads with cyanoacrylate.
This is an aftermarket accessory in resin. A model of the missile or of the aircraft is not included in the package.
