The etched set HGW 1:32 Albatros D.V / D.Va - Surface Details adds to a large-scale model of the German fighter fine surface metal details that injection-molded plastic cannot create. It is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail photo-etched accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The set contains fine metal parts picking out the surface details of the airframe: small fittings, handles and external panels. It is intended for a large-scale model of the German single-seat Albatros D.V / D.Va fighter of the First World War in 1:32 scale.
The Albatros D.V and its strengthened D.Va version were German single-seat fighter biplanes of 1917. They were characterized by an elegant streamlined fuselage of plywood shell construction and by an inline six-cylinder engine. The machines served in numbers on the Western Front and a number of well-known German aces flew them.
The etched parts are of thin sheet (brass or steel) on a common fret. Cut the individual parts off with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends exactly along the marked lines, ideally with a bender or a straight blade. Glue with cyanoacrylate; on larger areas two-part epoxy can be used for more time to set things in place. Degrease the flat sheet before painting and lay on a thin coat of primer, so that the fine relief stays sharp.
This is not a complete model of an aircraft. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as a detail accessory to a base model.
