1:32 EA-18G Growler is a set of 3D textured instrument panels from Red Fox Studio on decal paper, intended for the cockpit of the model from the Trumpeter kit in 1:32 scale.

Colored panels with printed relief for the cockpit of the Trumpeter kit. They are not glued into the model but applied like a decal: they are soaked off in water, slide on a wet glossy base and, once dried off, hold the shape of the frames and the buttons. The set deals with exactly what is hardest to paint by hand - fine lettering, the grids of displays and areas with dozens of small controls.
It is based on the two-seat Super Hornet, but the rear station is equipped for an electronic warfare officer. While the front keeps the classic pilot's layout with a head-up display and large-area screens, the rear is a station adapted to operating specialized systems: differently divided displays, different control panels and hand controllers at the sides. The difference between the front and the rear compartment is more marked here than on the ordinary two-seat version, and it is precisely that which makes the build a different model even though the airframe is very similar on the outside. Under the large hinged canopy both panels are visible at once, so the mismatch between the stations shows at first glance.
Carry the elements to the model on a damp flat brush and fine-tune them with a cotton swab, not with tweezers - metal easily punches through a wetted film. Keep the base slippery until the element sits exactly; only then draw the water off, and always from the center toward the edge, so that no air pocket is closed in. On complex relief, where the film passes over the edge of a console, a short press with a damp sponge helps. Apply decal softener in a thin layer only on problem spots and reckon with the fact that on a thicker print it works more slowly than on an ordinary decal; give it time and do not touch it. Fix the dried cockpit with a light coat of semi-matte varnish, so that the gloss of the displays is kept while the surroundings go matte.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package. Check in advance that it matches the kit.
