This resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Aires brings faithful ejection seats for the two-seat F-105F and F-105G Thunderchief versions in 1:32 scale. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the simplified plastic seats with richly articulated resin replicas with worked-out straps, handles and mechanisms.
The F-105F/G Thunderchief were the two-seat versions of the supersonic fighter-bomber; the G version was adapted for the suppression of enemy air defenses. The crew sat on ejection seats, which are among the striking elements of an open cabin. Faithful seats noticeably raise the realism of the interior of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand with respiratory protection. Prime the seats, paint them and pull out the detail of the straps with a dry brush and a wash.
The set is supplied as a resin accessory for a kit, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
