HGW 1:32 F.E.2b - the Beardmore engine is a brass photo-etched set for detailing the Beardmore engine of a model of the British biplane F.E.2b. It is not a kit but a detail accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brass photo-etched set from HGW in 1:32 scale aimed at the Beardmore engine on a model of the British aircraft F.E.2b. Fine parts bring out the valve gear, the piping, the brackets and other small elements of the power unit, which is clearly visible on this machine with its pusher propeller. It is an accessory to a plastic model.
The Beardmore engine was a British inline water-cooled six-cylinder built under license and used, among other places, in the F.E.2b. Because of the layout of the aircraft with the engine behind the crew, the power unit was markedly visible, so a faithful rendering of it has a great effect on the overall impression of a model.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret with a sharp knife on a cutting mat, shaped with a bender or a ruler and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting it is worth degreasing the metal and going over it with a base coat for better adhesion.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The aircraft kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
