Responsibility details are not available.
Die-cut self-adhesive stencils for painting a model of the British Gloster Gladiator biplane in the large 1:32 scale. The product is an accessory for modelers, not a kit, and it does not serve to mask the canopy glazing but to spray the color markings onto the surface of the model. This is the third part of the series. Its dimensions are based on the ICM kit.
When working with stencils the order in which the colors are laid down decides the result. Always work from the lighter shade to the darker one, because a light color covers a dark one poorly and needs more coats, and therefore a heavier build-up along the edge. If a marking has to read clearly on a dark surface, first apply a thin opaque undercoat in a light tone and only then the target shade. A sharp edge comes from a mask seated firmly on the surface; a softer transition, on the contrary, from lifting the stencil slightly and spraying straight down from a short distance. Both have their place: a soft transition suits camouflage fields, a sharp edge suits markings.
The Gloster Gladiator carried four machine guns and was powered by a Bristol radial engine. In the naval Sea Gladiator version it also served aboard ships, where it received an arrestor hook and other modifications. In the large 1:32 scale the details of its strut structure and fabric covering stand out.
The set is a painting accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
