A transparent polystyrene sheet 0.25 millimeters thick. Thicker than the film version, but still thin enough for glazing and vision slits.
Responsibility details are not available.
A quarter of a millimeter is a thickness at which the material holds its shape and can still be divided easily. Unlike the thinnest version it does not behave like film, so it does not ripple and stays flat in a window frame. The transparency is sufficient for modeling use, even if it does not reach the quality of cast glass.
The material is divided by scoring and snapping; cutting it with scissors is no longer suitable, as the edge would ripple. Watch out for solvents: ordinary cement for polystyrene fogs the surface and the transparency is gone for good. Use cements for clear parts or a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue away from the visible area.
A sanded and polished cut edge stops showing white. If the sheet has a protective film, take it off only at the very end. The item is sold in single sheets.
For glazing with a frame, prepare a piece with some margin and true the edge up only once it is seated. Hitting the size at the first attempt almost never works with a transparent material, and the inaccuracy stays in plain view.
