This is a resin detail set, not an airplane model. It contains precisely cast aerials of the FuG 217 Neptun airborne radar in the J-1 version for models of the German Fw 190A and Bf 109G/K fighters in 1:32 scale. The aerials complete an aircraft in its night fighter form.
The FuG 217 Neptun was a German airborne radar used at the end of the Second World War, among other places on single-engine fighters committed to night defense. The characteristic rod antennas projecting from the wings and the fuselage are a conspicuous recognition feature of these machines and give a model the particular look of a night version.
Wash the thin parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and handle the aerials gently so that they do not break. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the aerials in the shade of the airframe or according to period photographs.
This is an accessory for advanced modelers. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
