The etched detail set HGW 1:32 Sopwith Triplane adds to a large-scale model of the British triplane fighter fine metal parts that injection-molded plastic cannot manage. It is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail photo-etched accessory, not a model of an aircraft. It is intended for a large-scale model of the British single-seat Sopwith Triplane fighter of the First World War in 1:32 scale. The set brings fine metal parts for picking out the cockpit and the airframe that injection-molded plastic cannot achieve.
The Sopwith Triplane was a British single-seat fighter triplane of 1917 with three characteristic narrow wings that gave it excellent climb and agility. It flew above all with naval squadrons and made its name in the hands of experienced pilots on the Western Front.
The etched parts are of thin sheet (brass or steel) on a common fret. Cut the individual parts off with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends exactly along the marked lines, ideally with a bender or a straight blade. Glue with cyanoacrylate; on larger areas two-part epoxy can be used for more time to set things in place. Degrease the flat sheet before painting and lay on a thin coat of primer, so that the fine relief stays sharp.
This is not a complete model of an aircraft. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as a detail accessory to a base model.
