It is neither a model nor a part of one but an accessory for painting a kit, from the maker Montex.
The Stearman PT-17 Kaydet was an American trainer biplane with a radial engine, a fixed landing gear and two cockpits one behind the other. It was built in large numbers as a basic training machine, and after being withdrawn hundreds of examples went into civil use, where they served in agriculture and at air displays. The cockpits are not covered by a continuous canopy, so the glazed areas are small, but every inaccurate paint edge is all the more prominent on them.
Wash the glazing first in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let it dry freely. Lift the mask off the sheet with a sharp point or with tweezers, lay it dry in the right place and only then press the edges down with a soft tool. On small parts it pays to check the seating against the light. Go over the edges of the mask with a thin coat of clear or of the base color of the model, so that any gap is sealed and the paint does not creep under. Spray in thin coats and take the masks off while the paint is not yet fully cured, otherwise it peels at the edge. Apply the inner masks before you glue the parts onto the model.
This is an accessory for painting, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package. Before buying, check that the set matches the kit you are building.
