A decal sheet in 1:35 scale for the Soviet multi-turret tank T-28, the first part of the series.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Soviet T-28 was one of the multi-turret machines of the 1930s: above the hull rose the main turret with a 76 mm gun, and in front of it two smaller machine-gun turrets. It is the broken-up shape of the hull and the turrets that makes this tank an interesting subject for modelers, one on which the markings are clearly visible from every side.
This is a decal sheet in 1:35 scale, that is, an accessory for a tank kit. The first part designation in the name says that the series continues with a second sheet carrying different subjects. What exactly the sheet contains and where the individual markings go is stated in the enclosed instructions.
Ordinary sheets are applied by the wet method. Coat the surface with a gloss varnish, let the trimmed subject release from the paper in lukewarm water, move it onto the model and draw off the excess water. A decal softener will help the film follow the rivets and bolts, of which this subject has plenty. Once dry, unify the surface with a matte varnish. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version. A soaked self-adhesive film is ruined beyond repair, whereas a wet decal that has not been soaked can be soaked later.
The set suits modelers who want to set their T-28 apart from the basic variant from the box. In the large 1:35 scale even small flaws in the application stand out, so it pays to work slowly and to check the edges of the film against the light once dry.
The decals are an accessory for a kit, which you buy separately. Paints, varnishes, decal softener and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
