An accessory ammunition set in 1:35 scale: the 7.5 cm Sprgr.Patr.34 high-explosive round for the Kw.K.40 and Stu.K.40 guns, L/43 as well as L/48 barrel.

The set captures a fixed round of 7.5 cm caliber, that is, a projectile firmly joined to its case. It belonged to the Kw.K.40 gun and to its Stu.K.40 version for assault guns; both of the barrel lengths these weapons came in are given in the name as L/43 and L/48, and that is the length of the barrel in multiples of the caliber. The Kw.K.40 was carried by the Panzer IV medium tank from the F2 version, and the Stu.K.40 by the StuG III and StuG IV assault guns.
The Sprenggranatpatrone 34 was not meant to pierce armor but for blast effect. A crew reached for it against infantry, against machine gun and anti-tank positions, against unprotected vehicles and against buildings in which the enemy was holding out. It was therefore the most strongly represented type in the load carried, a detail that can be shown on a model with an open interior simply by the proportions of the rounds stowed.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest off so that the edge of the mouth of the case stays regular. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. On German ammunition the color coding of projectiles differed according to the type of filling and the period, so work from a period photograph or from the manufacturer's instructions; those are also a guide to the choice of glue, because that depends on the material of the parts.
It will find use on models with open ammunition bins, in a scene with ammunition being replenished and as a small item thrown down around a vehicle. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
