A set of detail parts from the Japanese brand Beemax intended to raise the level of detail of a model of the rally machine Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo from the British RAC Rally of 1984 in 1:24 scale. This is not a kit in its own right but an accessory set that the maker prepared for its own kit of the same car in the same scale.
The Mitsubishi Lancer 2000 Turbo was a turbocharged competition car derived from the Lancer EX sedan. With its two-liter turbo engine it belonged to the last generation of fast rear-wheel-drive cars, which in the middle of the 1980s met the incoming four-wheel-drive machines on the stages of the world championship. With its broken forest roads and November weather, the British RAC Rally was one of the most demanding events of the season.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and clean the edges up with a fine file. Use tweezers with smooth jaws or a bending tool for the bending, and glue with super glue applied in small amounts with a pin. Degrease the parts before painting and give them a primer coat - paint holds badly on bare metal.
