A photo-etched metal detail set of additional accessories for US vehicles in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Aber. It holds faithfully worked tools, rifle racks and jerrycan mounts with which a plastic kit can be fitted out. Thin metal captures fine details better than injected plastic. This is an accessory, not a vehicle model.
American combat and supply vehicles of the Second World War carried a number of fixings for tools, gear and jerrycans. True racks and mounts markedly bring the surface of a model to life.
Nip the parts out of the photo-etched fret and clean them up, make the bends on a bending tool or along the scored lines, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a coat of primer for adhesion. Fit the small mounts with tweezers and place them after period photographs of the vehicle in question.
