A set of cut masks for an airbrush with which the camouflage pattern is laid onto the model. These are not masks for the glazing. This item carries the second of the schemes offered, so you can build two vehicles of the same type and still have them differ at first glance. With vehicles that recur often in a collection, a different camouflage is the simplest way to liven a display case up.
The M113 armored personnel carrier is among the most widespread tracked vehicles of the second half of the twentieth century. It was designed as a light infantry carrier with a hull of aluminum alloy and became the basis for a series of derived variants, from command and signals vehicles to mortar carriers. Its hull is simple in shape, with large flat surfaces and a slightly sloped front, so it shows even a more complex multi-color pattern well.
Before putting the mask on, try the pressure, the thinning and the nozzle distance out on a piece of card, because every pattern will take a different intensity of spraying. Work from the lighter shade toward the darker one and lay the paint on over several passes, not all at once. Spray vertical surfaces straight on, and on the roof watch out for paint pooling in the recesses. The mask must not lie on a clear coat that is still tacky, otherwise it will leave an imprint. If the pattern continues across the edge of the hull, align the overlap before spraying and mark the position of the mask so that it can be put back in the same place.
