The set contains two precisely turned metal barrels of the 57 mm S-68 automatic cannons for the Soviet ZSU-57-2 self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle in 1:35 scale. The metal barrels replace the plastic ones from the model: they have a perfectly round cross section with no parting seam, the correct stepping and a clean muzzle. It is exactly the twin pair of long barrels that is the hallmark of this vehicle, so the model gains a great deal from them. Made by Aber, the Polish specialist in metal accessories.
The ZSU-57-2 was a Soviet self-propelled anti-aircraft gun on a tank chassis, armed with a twin pair of S-68 automatic cannons of 57 mm caliber in an open-topped turret. The long, slender barrels were its most striking feature.
For modelers building the ZSU-57-2 in 1:35 scale who want perfectly straight barrels with no seams. Even a less experienced modeler can fit them; it is only necessary to watch the alignment of the two barrels.
