Turned metal barrels from Aber for the four-barreled 20 mm anti-aircraft mount Flakvierling 38 in 1:35 scale, special edition. They are replacement parts, not a model of a weapon.
Responsibility details are not available.
These are turned metal barrels from the Polish manufacturer Aber, not a model of a weapon. They replace the plastic barrels of the German four-barreled 20 mm anti-aircraft mount Flakvierling 38. The metal form gives the barrels a perfectly straight shape, precisely drilled muzzles and a faithful rendering of the cooling jackets, which injected plastic never delivers as finely. The marking special edition refers to an extended form of the set compared with the ordinary package.
The Flakvierling 38 was a German anti-aircraft mount of the Second World War that combined four 20 mm automatic cannons on a common carriage. The high rate of fire of the whole four made it an effective weapon against low-flying targets, and it was used in a static form, on a trailer and built onto vehicle chassis, for example on anti-aircraft tanks.
Seat the barrels in place of the plastic parts and secure them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Take care that all four barrels are parallel and at the same height, or the assembly will give away even a small deviation to the eye. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer; pick out the muzzles of the barrels at the end with a dark shade.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
