A printed paper sheet for dioramas in 1:35 scale. It contains large-format and smaller printed designs meant for billposting areas, the gable ends of buildings and free-standing advertising structures. It is a period depiction used to make a scene from a modern conflict look convincing, and it is a paper accessory, not a kit and not a decal.
A billboard in a diorama is a double job: the printed design goes with a structure. Build the frame from plastic sections or from strips of card, add braces to the back and sink the legs into the base, so that the surface stands upright. Glue the design onto a smooth board, not straight onto the frame, as the paper would sag over the sections. The smaller posters then go on a wall, a fence or a post and give the scene depth.
A new advertising surface does not look right in a war scene. It pays to damage it: tear a corner, lift an edge, paste part of it over with another design, knock the colors back with a very thin gray wash and add dust with pigment at the foot of the structure. Make bullet holes with a heated point from the back, so that the hole stays ragged. Weather the structure with rust and rub the edges. Finally seal everything with matte varnish, so that the sheen of the print does not stand out above the matte surfaces around it.
A printed paper accessory for a diorama, meant for modeling use. Glue, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
