An add-on set from Voyager Model is meant for the Hobby Boss 82484 and 82483 kits of the Chinese ZTD-05 amphibious assault vehicle in 1:35 scale. It replaces the pins of the track links, that is small features that on the moldings from the original kit tend to be simplified or missing altogether. Neither the model of the vehicle nor the tracks are part of the package.
The ZTD-05 is an amphibious tracked vehicle of the Chinese army built on a platform shared with the infantry fighting vehicle of the same line. It carries a gun of larger caliber in a rotating turret and serves for fire support of a landing from the sea. The shaped bow and the flap make a higher speed possible on water, because the vehicle partly planes onto the surface. The tracks and the running gear stay fully visible even so, so their detail plays a role on a model.
What makes the difference between an ordinary and a successful track is precisely the repeated, exactly identical detail. If the set holds many identical parts, it pays to make a simple jig: a strip of double-sided tape, into which you stick the links side by side in one plane, so that the pins are fitted in series and all of them sit at the same depth. Use thin cyanoacrylate, which creeps into the joint, and draw any excess off at once with the tip of a paper tissue. Before you paint the track, let the glue cure thoroughly, otherwise a white haze will appear on the surface.
The set is an accessory, not a model. It does not hold the kit of the vehicle, the tracks or paints.
