A photo-etched detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale. It holds thin photo-etched sheet with which you cover the plastic fenders of the Pz.Kpfw. III tank and the Sturmgeschütz III assault gun. The set gives the fenders a true thin profile, a non-skid texture and riveting that plastic parts cannot imitate. It is not a vehicle model but a surface accessory.
The fenders of real vehicles were made of thin sheet with a non-skid finish and a number of details. A plastic model renders them as thick-walled parts. The photo-etched covering is glued onto the plastic and raises its fidelity to scale; the edges can be bent or damaged for a battle look.
First clean the flash off the plastic fenders. Lay the photo-etched covering on and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue from the middle out to the edges, so that no bubbles form. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. It suits accentuating wear and rust.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
