A combined package of the MAiM range of diorama fan grilles in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but a supply of building details for scenery: the grilles can be fitted into walls, shafts and technical structures throughout a whole diorama without your having to put several smaller packages together. It is supplied as unpainted castings to be cleaned up and painted.
A larger urban block, a factory site or a sprawling post-apocalyptic scene will swallow a surprising number of technical details. The advantage of a combined package is a single visual hand, because all the grilles come from the same range and so sit together naturally in a scene. Place them on facades, in the bases of buildings, on roofs and in underground passages, and a repeating ventilation motif will visually unify the scene.
It pays to paint all the grilles at once in the same palette and to set them apart only with weathering: cleaner pieces on maintained buildings, rusty and dirty ones in out-of-the-way corners. A base in a dark metal shade, dry brushes, rust pigments and a dark wash between the louvers will give each piece its modeling. Wash the castings and prime them before painting.
The accessories are supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
