1:35 GAZ-AAA is a Hauler photo-etched accessory set for a kit of the Soviet three-axle truck, not a model of the car. It replaces the thin sheet-metal elements of the body and the chassis with metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Hauler for a kit of the Soviet three-axle truck. It is not a kit of the car - the package holds accessory metal parts only, for a kit you already have, and it is cut for one particular kit, from MiniArt. On a truck photo-etch comes into its own mainly on the fenders, the steps, the radiator grille, the brackets and the fittings of the load area, that is, in the places where the real sheet was only a few millimeters thick and plastic cannot imitate it.
The GAZ-AAA was a Soviet truck with three axles and the rear two driven, that is, in a 6x4 arrangement. It grew out of the two-axle car of the same family and offered a higher load capacity and better going through soft terrain. It was produced in large numbers and served as a universal means of transport and as a chassis for bodies - workshop, tanker, signals and weapon ones. The wartime forms were markedly simplified against the peacetime ones, for instance with a cab of wood and pressed cardboard or a single headlight, which offers a modeler plenty of variants.
Never cut the fret with nippers. The metal goes wavy in the jaws, and straightening it back means risking a break. The right procedure is to lay the fret on a hard smooth surface - ideally on a piece of glass or a steel plate - and separate the part by vertical pressure from a sharp scalpel or the edge of a chisel. Run the cut close to the part, but not into it. Set a new blade aside for this work, as a blunt one will bend the metal rather than cut through it. Leave the parts on the fret as long as you can; you then find your way around the instructions better and nothing gets lost. Whatever you cut out and do not use at once, store in a closable box with dividers. Degrease the metal with spirit before gluing and let it dry. On the sheet-metal parts of a truck it pays to suggest a slight bow - perfectly flat sheet on a commercial vehicle makes an unnatural impression, and metal, unlike plastic, allows you such a modification.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
