A resin dust filter for the Fiat G.50bis in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker CMK. The part without which a machine used in North Africa cannot be built.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory from the Czech manufacturer CMK for the Italian Fiat G.50bis fighter in 1:32 scale. It replaces or adds the dust filter on the intake, the housing that machines were given when used in dusty surroundings. In a large scale the filter is a prominent element on the forward fuselage, and its presence or absence immediately says where a given aircraft served.
The Fiat G.50 Freccia was an Italian fighter with a radial engine, one of the first Italian all-metal fighters with retractable landing gear. The G.50bis version brought changes to the fuselage and the cockpit. In North Africa it turned out that fine sand destroyed engines faster than the enemy, and so filters were fitted to the intake that markedly changed the look of the nose.
Wash the part in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting block off with a saw and level the surface. Check the fit dry and only then glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Fill and sand the seam. The filter is the place where dust and sand settle the most, so work light pigments into it and leave them in the recesses while wiping the raised edges.
The set is an accessory for a kit and does not replace a kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
