Graffiti painters, the full set (1:35) is a set of figures from the manufacturer MAiM. It holds the figures of street painters for an urban scene in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set belongs among the figures in 1:35 scale and brings together the figures of street painters that the manufacturer also offers individually. The designation full set means that this is the combined variant of the motif, not a single figure.
Civilian urban figures are rewarding in a diorama, because they give a scene the present day and a story with no need for military equipment. Graffiti painters work at a wall, at an abandoned building, in an underpass or at the wreck of a vehicle — that is, exactly where a diorama has a large vertical surface that a modeler often does not know what to do with. Figures with outspread arms and in a low crouch also break up a static composition and direct the eye of a viewer toward the wall on which the main motif takes place.
Wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water before painting, let them dry and sand the parting seams gently. Glue with super glue, and with plastic parts ordinary modeling cement. Apply a thin base coat, then paint in steps: the base, a wash into the folds and lightening of the edges of the cloth. With civilian clothing do not spare the contrast between the individual items of dress — the hoodie, the trousers and the footwear should each have a different color and a different surface texture. Finish the faces and the hands before you cement the figure together. A weathered wall with worn plaster suits a scene with this set; the painting on it can be managed either with a decal or by hand with a thin brush and thinned paints. Finally add dust on the footwear and light spots of paint on the sleeves.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
