This is a detail accessory, not a tank kit. The set from Tetra Model Works holds photo-etched parts and thin side skirts that replace the coarser plastic covers of the running gear on a plastic kit of the Type 10 tank in 1:35 scale. The result is a finer and more faithful look to the side armor skirts.
The Type 10 is a modern Japanese main battle tank developed for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and taken into service in the early 2010s. It is marked out by modular composite armor, a 120 mm smoothbore gun, hydropneumatic suspension with adjustable ground clearance and an emphasis on low weight and maneuverability.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret, shape them along the fold lines and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting we recommend degreasing the photo-etched surfaces and applying a primer. The set is meant for more experienced modelers who want to lift the detail of a finished kit. The accessory is designed for the Tamiya kit.
